Management

Executive Board
The Learning About Forests programme is one of the Foundation for Environmental Education's (FEE) programmes. The Executive Board is the overall body responsible for all FEE programmes.

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for the supervision of the work of the International Co-ordination secretariat, and it approves work plans and programme development. The Committee consists of representatives from the Foundation for Environmental Education and several programme partners (see next section for more information on these partner organisations).

The International Co-ordination Secretariat
The International Co-ordination is responsible for the day-to-day management of the programme and its activities. The Co-ordination supports the development of new national programmes and the development of networks between new and already established programmes.

National programmes
Participating countries are encouraged to establish national programmes, which address national needs and priorities. The national programmes are run by a Non Governmental Organisation, which appoints a national operator for the programme. The national programme must work closely with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) member organisation.
