COP 15 with Wangari Maathai and LEAF

Nobel peace prize winner and Patron of the Billion Tree Campaign, Professor Wangari Maathai, the Danish Ministef of Environment, Troels Lund Poulsen, UNEP's Director of Communications, Satinder Bindra and FEE EXB member Tegryn Jones at the stage after presenting the results from the LEAF/Panasonic campaign to our guests. LEAF and the Danish project gave a spade as a present to UNEP as a symbol of our support!

Wangari Maathai told us to keep on our good work! 264 000 trees has been planted by LEAF with economic support from Panasonic. The participating countries have almost doubled thes figures by their own funding to half million trees in 2009.
